Chocolate Recipe

chocolate recipe

Making chocolates with silicone molds is an easy and fun way to create delicious homemade treats. With our SiliconeZone molds, you can make chocolates in a variety of shapes and sizes, perfect for any occasion. Whether you are making chocolates for a special holiday or simply for a sweet treat, using silicone molds is a great way to achieve professional-looking chocolates at home.

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz chocolate (dark, milk, or white)
  • Your Favorite SiliconeZone Molds
  • Food coloring (Tip: using a little food coloring with white chocolate will create a better taste than pre-colored candy melts).
  • Sprinkles, edible glitter, or other decorations (optional)

Instructions:

Start by melting the chocolate in a double boiler. If you don’t have a double boiler, you can create one by filling a saucepan with a few inches of water and placing a heat-safe bowl over the top of the pot. Make sure that the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water.

Heat the water in the saucepan over medium-high heat until it comes to a simmer. Add the chocolate to the bowl and stir continuously with a spatula until the chocolate has melted and is smooth.

Once the chocolate has melted, remove the bowl from the heat and divide it into different bowls if you want to make different colors of chocolate. Add a drop or two of food coloring to each bowl and stir until the color is evenly distributed.

Looking for extra flavor? You can crush, chop, or leave whole, your favorite chocolate pairing and add it into the chocolate. Mix it in to the whole bowl, or layer it into the silicone mold in the following step.

*Use a spoon or a small ladle to scoop the melted chocolate into the silicone mold. You can fill the mold with one color of chocolate or make a mix of different colors for a fun and colorful look.

Tap the mold gently on the counter to release any air bubbles and smooth out the surface of the chocolate. If you want to add decorations, sprinkle them over the top of the chocolate while it’s still wet.

Place the mold in the fridge or freezer until the chocolate has set completely, timing will vary.

Once the chocolate has set, remove the mold from the fridge or freezer and carefully pop the chocolates out of the mold. You can store them in an airtight container in the fridge or at room temperature for up to two weeks.

*Want less mess? You can add the chocolate to a piping bag and use that to fill the molds, be careful not to burn yourself, or let the chocolate get too cold while in the bag.
